It failed!

That definitely was not the end of the season as Jakub imagined. He has finished the race, but after a crash that stopped his effort to improve a situation in points standings of 2011 season.

Despite Jakub Kornfeil failed to improve his position in current standings of 125cc class. He was not very happy in the end, but do not have to be sad, because end the year in 12th position with 72 points he definitely would like to take before the season.

Jakub Kornfeil: As the weather forecast said, all day long it should rain, finally it was not to bad, in fact in was basicaly same as in previous two days that was not the best for me. I did not what tyre we will decided for until very last minute before the start. We decided to go with dry tyres. Depsite it was raining during the race, grip was quite okay. Only one time it was not so good, when I crashed. I did not crash all season long and I must go down today. I am quite upset about that. I have not undestood yet, why I had to take this bad luck today, because there were many points to score and It was possible to finish the race inside the top 7. Top 7 would be absolutely amazing after this struggeling weekend. But that is just bad luck, when something bad happens to you, everything works well for others and then you are really sorry that you might be much better. I took a good start, because in turn nr. one I was able to overtake 4 opponents. I was going higher and higher and then I saw Danny Kent in front of me. He was in the points in this stages. I still was involved in the fight for 11th and maybe for 10th spot as well. During 6 laps I overtook 10 riders, but then It came. It was quite strange crash, when my handlebars were shaking a lot. After that I fixed the situation, but I was not able to avoid of losing the front. Handlebars were shaking again and I was down. I was in 14 spot when It happened. I am very sorry about that, because I would definitely to improve my position even more, and could say goodbye to 125s with nice result. It should be also a thank you race for my partners, sponsors, friends and my family for this beautiful year where I did not a shame and learnt little bit more and improved myself. I am really posed off because of this end. But life continues. I thought the engine is broken, because I went to gravel by the front, but It was not. So I sat back to my bike, fixed handlebar and grip and continued racing. I wanted to finish last 2stroke race anyway, depsite my slow laptimes. All my thanks come to my team, because except the front my bike was working really well, engine was perfect. Our maximum I would say. I am happy with the progress, in comparing with the previous season, last season I scored 28 points, this year I took 72. I believe that all the people involved will help me on the same way as this year and next moto3 season will be at least as good as this year´s.
