Le Mans - Qualifying
Broken piston marred Jakub´s pushing for better starting position before tomorrow´s GP of France at Le Mans circuit.
Someone would be happy with 23rd place on the grid, but if you know you can reach higher and then when you look at unveiled data and sector times it must make you feel bad about the way for better starting position complicated a technical problem when It was a few minutes remaining to the end of the qualifying practice.
Forecast expects tomorrow´s race in same conditions as it was today which is quite unusuall for Le Mans in the middle of May so we will be able to see really nice race with amazing battles for another points from world championship. For another points is hoping ,,depsite problems"rookie in the world championship Jakub Kornfeil.
Jakub Kornfeil: I improved a lot in compairing with Friday´s practice, it is a pity I didn´t confirm this time in qualifying.Depsite very less knowledge of the track in Le Mans I mean I know the track only from redbull rookies cup I rode here two years ago so I think my progress is really visible and all my team staff like it. I thought I could improve my time for a second in the qualifying practice and to be involved in top 15 on the grid, but in the begginig i did not ride so well so I entered the pits in the 12 minutes to end of the practice and my mechanics worked hard to improve my setup of the bike before last ten minutes. We prepared everything when I was leaving pits we were not succeed to start the engine. We were determined it is a bad spark plug so mechanics changed it, but the brand new spark plug did not help us at all.Team guys took engine to parts and discovered that it is seized.I am not worry, race is tommorow and I know where I can be faster I tried it in warp up where I was following line of my team mate Tomo Koyama and he did not pull away so much and he is sixth. We will not do any changes for warm up, my mechanics wanted do changed a gearbox little bit, but we decided for no changes finally.Going from 23rd spot is not going to be easy, but hopefuly I can do a good start a do better race than in Jerez.
