Lost battle
Jakub Kornfeil is 14th again in gp of Australia however he lost a very close battle with two other riders on the finish line.
Australian cold weather during last days made a little damages on Jakub´s feeling before Sunday´s race, surprisingly the race was on dry conditions.Depsite point scoring position Jakub wasn´t much happy after the race.
Jakub Kornfeil: Result from morning´s warm up helped me to wake up. We were suposing the race is wet with all my team in wet conditions the possibilities to score a good results are bigger.I my opinion something around 10th place but unfortunately the race was on completely dry track. My start to race was absolutely nasty, yes the first reaction on the lights were great, but one rider in front of me had some problem because he almost remained staying on his position and I was very lucky to avoid any colision with him.I had to brake a lot, after that I lost many places and was almost last. During the first lap I passed five or six riders. In next lap I made successful overtaking manouvers and passed another three riders and started catching the group in front of me. Spaniard Martín, Norwegian Fagerhaug and German Schorötter were there that was a group that I was batteling with until the end of the race.If I pass then I am 11th I New what is a great result. Unfortunately when I was batteling against Fagergaug and Schrötter the Spaniard Martín escaped.I wanted to lead the way of this group I tried to push hard and be concentrated on Martín. I realized my plan one lap later and Spaniard disappeared in the front. Situation inside our group was wery hard also elbows were ready several times. However I am very sorry I was not able to keep my position and both of the riders overtook me on the finish line.I did not want to lead the way in entering to finish straight because it was clear they can pass me from slipstream advantage.I was entering the finish straight as last in the group, but unfortunately I very closely missed the overtaking. Want to say big thanks to my mechanick because they made really great job during all weekend long.
