Quatar GP - summary

Friday and first free practice-Jakub has been riding here for first time so It was very important to load the track that is very difficult and has some very unssual aspects, said suprised czech racer.

1.Night sessions-This first aspect is quite difficult because you must get used on the light above the track, choose right color of your visor to aviod polishing of the tarmac, because as Jakub said you enter some corners as almost blind man.

2.New track-With learning of new tracks Jakub luckily does not have any problems and in just a short time he is able to addapt to a new track and new conditions.Jakub thinks this track is very fast, not only because of finish straight thatt lenghts 1050m but for example last three corners before that straight you ride with almost full throttle.

3.High temperature and dirt on the track-Motogp racing is sometimes in countries where temperatures are really high is not so suprising, but track where is a sand from deserts around, that is quite unusual and very important to ride your machine in an ideal line what is not perfect for all riders and for Jakub not as well.

In fact, conditions on the track are same for everyone and it is not possible to find any reasons why not so Jakub was really determined to fight with those conditions.After some laps Jakub caught a group of some riders that were faster and that was obviously the best moment to learn the track and to improve times and positions as well.Made only few laps behind this group, because then he missed all fuel in his Aprilia and a lot of time left than he was transported back to the Racing Team Germany´s pit.After that accident Jakub was able to ride only 4 laps.

SATURDAY-SECOND PRACTICE-Jakub´s aprilia did not work on 100% and he had to enter the pits for many times the machanics repaired those problem just after the practice that was a reason why Jakub was not able to do some hot laps.Depsite this unlucky situation Jakub still improved his best time here in Qatar.

SATURDAY-QUALIFYING-QP did not start so badly and Jakub appeared between top 15 riders, but as it is quite usual in the motogp racing in the end of QPs rider are doing their best laps and Jakub finally scored 21st place.It was also caused because of alone riding.Luckily he found a group of faster guys and improved his lap time by 1 second, but it was too late and made only one lap with them.

SUNDAY-RACE-Jakub started from 6th row.Start was excellent and after the first lap he crossed finish line as 18th together with the group on riders that fought for 15th place.Rode little bit wide in next lap and dropped down to 21st place where he was riding for quite long time with 1 sec. gap to previous Zulfahmi.Jakub rode alone and catched rider ahead and overtook him.Was 20th.Adrian Martin was 19th with his factory Aprilia RSA bike with more than 1 second advantage from Jakub.Because of very consistent laps, when Jakub rode 15 laps in 0,7sec did really great passing manouver and in the first race of the season scored symphatic 19th place.
