The best qualifying so far!

Tricky conditions seem to be typical for this year. As well as in today´s qualifying practice where Czech rider Jakub Kornfeil took amazing 4th spot on the grid for tomorrow´s Grand Prix of France.

Kubajz had some technical issues in free practice number three, when he was complaining about gearing and suspension problems. That was not enough. It started to rain heavily 30 minutes before the practice start. Everything was working well in the QP and Czech youngster was appearing in high positions during the practice. He was third in the finish, but when others were finishing their last laps Jakub got relegated by Spaniard Efren Vazquez. So Jakub Kornfeil took his best qualifying position so far in GP career. Will start from great 4th spot tomorrow.

Jakub Kornfeil: „My bike was perfectly okay in the QP. I am very happy we were able to fix gearing problems from this morning. I could finally stay focused only on my riding and not to the motorcycle issues. It started to rain half an hour before the practice. It was much better to ride when the track was completely wet than it was drier in the last part. If it is 70% wet and 30% dry, it is very difficult on Moto3.By the end I was third and did not notice that many guys are improving. I decided to wait a bit and give everything to my last lap. Last lap was not so bad, I was third. It is a shame that Vazquez got in front of me in the standings but I am so happy to start from 4th tomorrow even when it is my best qualifying result of my career so far. There are some rumours in the paddock, that it is going to rain surely tomorrow.I do think so. This circuit is well known for its slippery tarmac in wet conditions and riders need to be very careful in some sections especially when breaking. We will see tomorrow if it is true. We have 24 laps and anything can happen and will be very important to ride smoothly and extremely carefuly.“
